Our Story

Founded in 2018, Parking Professionals was born from a shared vision between Marlon Drake and Chris Anderson - two hospitality veterans who believed that valet service could be elevated to an art form.

With decades of combined experience at premier hotels, resorts, and venues across the Southeast, they set out to create a company that would redefine what exceptional parking services look like in Metro Birmingham and beyond.

Today, Parking Professionals serves as the Official Valet Service Provider for The World Games 2022, and partners with Birmingham's most prestigious venues, restaurants, hotels, and events.

Meet Our Founders

Marlon Drake

President/CEO and Founder

Marlon Drake is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He was educated in the Birmingham City school system and acquired higher education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Chris Anderson

COO and Co-founder

Chris Anderson serves as Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Parking Professionals. His first experience in customer service began at the age of fifteen in Birmingham malls - Brookwood and Galleria, where he sold shoes. After joining the Hospitality field in hotel industry as a bellman/valet at the age of eighteen, Chris discovered a passion for service.

Shemeka Drake

Marketing and Social Media Manager

Shemeka has served as the Marketing and Social Media Manager for Parking Professionals for the last four and a half years. In this leadership role, she helps shape the company's brand presence, oversees marketing initiatives, and supports client engagement through strategic communication and outreach. Before joining Parking Professionals, Shemeka had a successful career in nursing with leadership positions including Head Floor Nurse and Shift Nurse.

Jaylon Drake

Event Manager

Joining Parking Professionals in 2022 was a natural fit. In 2023, Jaylon was promoted as a supervisor at SKF Solution Factory, and this experience played a pivotal role in his growth when he returned to Parking Professionals. In early 2024, he was promoted to Event Manager. He was honored to receive the first ever Manager of the Year Award at Parking Professionals in 2025.

Mychal Redeaux

Event Manager

Mychal brings more than 15 years of customer service experience, including seven years in valet operations and seven years of management and leadership experience. Driven by a genuine passion for serving others, he takes great pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. One of the most rewarding aspects of working with Parking Professionals is the opportunity to support communities during their most significant moments.

Chris Jones

Event Manager

A hospitality professional specializing in front office operations, with 10+ years of experience in hotel management, customer service leadership, and valet experience. Known for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in fast-paced environments. He brings a people-first leadership style and a consistent focus on service excellence.

Dominique Wells

Senior Event Manager

Dominique Wells is a dedicated member of the Parking Professionals leadership team, bringing years of hospitality experience and a commitment to excellence in every interaction. His attention to detail and professional demeanor set the standard for the valet team.
